This Privacy Policy does not apply to information you may provide to another user including but not limited to Event Organizers. Where Event Organizers collect personal information from the Attendees, it is solely the Event Organizer’s responsibility to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation in relation to user data collected, shared and processed by them. Please note that we do not control how Event Organizers or other third-parties process User’s information and we are unable to offer any assurances as to the security of such data.

From time to time we will amend this Privacy Policy to reflect our new privacy practices and commitment to compliance with regulatory requirements. GeekMeet is operating from its offices in the United States of America. We may hold and process your information in and outside the country of your residence. If you are currently residing in an EEA member state, by providing us your personal information you agree to such transfer of data in and outside of the EEA. Merger or Acquisition

Mergers and acquisitions are part of business reality. In the event we undergo a merger or acquisition, your personal information will be transferred to the new acquirer who may be outside the EEA as part of our business asset. Retention of User data

We will retain your personal data for the entire duration that your account is active on the platform. We currently deem all accounts active if a user has logged in the past 24 months. All dormant accounts are terminated after 24 months and we purge any associated data. If you request us to terminate your account, we will not keep any of your personal information for a period longer than necessary for the fulfillment of our business and legal obligations.

We will clearly identify any links to third-party sites on our Website. When you click on these third party links, you will be redirected to the Website that is owned and operated by a third-party.
